QuickLogger — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-05
In short: QuickLogger does not collect, transmit, or
share your personal data. Everything you create in the app stays
on your device. The app has no account system and no
internet access — it cannot send your data anywhere.
This Privacy Policy explains how the QuickLogger
mobile app (the “app”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. QuickLogger
is provided by The Fine Group, LLC (doing business as
TerraformGanymede).
The short version
- No data is collected by us. QuickLogger has
no internet permission and makes no network
connections. Your data never leaves your device unless
you choose to export or share it.
- No accounts, no sign-in, no tracking. There are
no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs
in the app.
- You are in control. You can delete any entry,
photo, or file at any time, or uninstall the app to remove all of its
data.
What the app accesses, and
why
All of the following is stored only in the app’s private
storage on your device:
- Location — When you create a log entry, the app
attempts to record your device’s location to tag that entry. Location is
optional and user-controlled: you
choose the precision (Precise, Approximate, or GPS-only) and you can
turn it off for any entry. Location is used only to tag
your own log entries.
- Camera — Used to scan codes (QR / barcodes) and, if
you choose, to take photos to attach to an entry. Captured images are
stored on your device.
- Photos and files (attachments) — If you attach a
photo or file, a copy is saved into the app’s private storage on your
device.
- The information you enter — Profile names,
comments, scanned code values, and timestamps you create are stored on
your device.
- Log-integrity key — To make your log
tamper-evident, entries are signed with a cryptographic key generated
on your device (in secure hardware where available).
This key never leaves your device.
- Background location (sideload build only) — A
separate, non-Play build of QuickLogger offers an optional background
“auto-logger.” If you enable it, the app uses background location to
record entries automatically. The version distributed on Google
Play does not include background location.
Data sharing and
transmission
None. QuickLogger does not transmit your data to us
or to any third party. There are no servers, analytics services,
advertising networks, or other third parties involved.
If you choose to use the app’s export or
share features (for example, exporting a log to CSV, JSON, or a
bundle file, and sharing or saving it), that data goes
only where you direct it — to the file location or app
you select. That action is entirely under your control.
Data storage and retention
Your data is stored in the app’s private, on-device storage. It
remains until you remove it:
- Delete an entry, photo, or file within the app to remove it.
- Use “Clear log” / “Delete old segments” in the app to remove log
data.
- Uninstall the app to remove all of its data from
your device.
We do not retain any of your data, because we never receive any of
it.
Permissions summary
- Location (fine / coarse) — to tag log entries, as
described above.
- Camera — to scan codes and capture photo
attachments.
- (Sideload build only) Background location,
notifications, foreground service — for the optional background
auto-logger; not present in the Google Play version.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your
device’s system settings.
Children’s privacy
QuickLogger is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to
children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone,
including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the
effective date above. Material changes may also be re-surfaced in the
app.
